Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book Butlin’s accommodation with you?
Unfortunately not. We are private owners of two luxury caravans that we rent out. If you would like to book any other type of accommodation you will need to book directly with Butlin’s.

How do I book?
If you wish to book, please simply list the following information in an email and send it to info@mineheadresortholidays.co.uk:
1) Please confirm that you have read and agree to our terms and conditions.
2) Dates required
3) Caravan required
4) Contact telephone number (preferably mobile)
5) Method of payment. We prefer direct bank transfer, but we are also happy to send a PayPal invoice so that you can pay by credit card if preferred.
6) The Name, Date of Birth and Address of everyone being booked in. This information must be provided to Butlin's, and they will not allow you to check in if it has not been provided in advance.
7) Do you require a linen service? Duvets and pillows are supplied as standard, but you would need to bring your own bed sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers etc. If you wish these can be supplied via our cleaners for an additional £25 (we do not put anything on top of their charge.

Once we have received your booking form we will contact you to arrange payment. We have been having some issues with our emails, as they appear to be going in to Spam rather than the main email folders. Therefore please keep an eye on your spam and add us to your white list. We will normally always reply inside 24hrs at the latest.

How much do I have to pay and when?
A £80 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking, the balance is then due 8 weeks before the start of the holiday. If booking with less than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday, the full amount will be required to secure the booking.

What is included in the price?
For most breaks throughout the year the quoted price is for accommodation up to 8 people and utilities. Passes for Butlins will be required at extra cost. Please enquire.

What is the security deposit for?
Because we are private owners, we do not have the resources of companies like Butlin’s. Therefore in addition to the quoted price for the holiday there is a security deposit of £100 for family breaks and £150 for adult breaks. This is to ensure that guests treat our caravans in a suitable manner so that the caravan will be maintained to a high standard so that all guests, both present and future can enjoy their holiday to the full. Assuming that there is no damage, the security deposit will be returned to you after departure as per our terms and conditions.

When can I get in to the caravan?
You can arrive at Butlin’s at whatever time you like on the first day of your holiday and start to use and enjoy the facilities, however you can only check in and obtain the keys from 4pm onwards.

How many keys are provided?
Butlin’s will issue you one key on arrival. If you require a second key, this can be arranged through guest services. Butlin’s will ask for a security deposit (currently £10) to provide the additional key, which will be refunded when it is returned.

What time do I have check in by?
If you are running late for any reason, keys are still available 24hrs a day. If guest services are closed, you can still check in at the security gate house at the main entrance.

What time do I have to depart?
You have to leave the caravan and return the keys by 10am on the day of departure. However, you are welcome to remain on site for the rest of the day and continue to enjoy the facilities if you wish.

Where do I park?
There is one dedicated parking space for each caravan just a few meters away from the caravan. Any additional vehicles will have to be parked in one of the main Butlin’s carparks.

Is bed linen included?
Because we are private owners, in order to maintain costs and offer the most competitive rates possible we do not provide bed linen. However, if you wish we are able to supply bed linen through our contract cleaners at an additional cost. Please ask for details.

What do you provide and what do I need to bring with me?
Please download our welcome sheet for the Willerby Sierra or the Atlas Chorus-4. Included in this document is a list of everything that is provided in the caravan and a list of items that's you should consider bringing.

Can I buy a dining plan?
Unfortunately we can not sell Butlin’s products. It may be possible for you to buy a dining package, but this can only be done directly with Butlin’s when checking in and is subject to availability.

Can I pre-book activities?
Unfortunately caravan guests can not pre-book activities in advance of their holiday.

I don’t drive, can you recommend a way to get to Butlin’s?
National Express run a coach service directly to Butlin’s. Alternatively the closest train station to Butlin’s Minehead is Taunton which is 23 miles away. From there you would either need to get a bus or taxi.
